DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Essex County Department of Economic Development, Training & Employment invite the public to attend S.E.E. Essex County Service-Employment-Expo that will feature over 150 vendors and service providers. The Essex County Job Fair will be held as follows: “Essex County is committed to providing our residents with employment opportunities and access to services, while assisting businesses with recruiting skilled and qualified applicants. Whether you are looking for work or are a business with a need, we invite you to participate in our free Services Employment Expo,” DiVincenzo said. “Our country’s economic downturn is affecting people from all nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. We are seeing an increase in the number of people that come to our office to apply for services,” said Essex County WIB Executive Director/One-Stop Manager Samuel Okparaeke. “We have expanded our traditional job fair and will be offering services as well, to make this expo an invaluable ‘one-stop’ experience for all attendees,” he added. Members of the public who are looking for a job can meet with businesses from a variety of fields, including health care, banking, wireless communication, social service agencies, retail opportunities, food preparation, law enforcement, property management, hotels and tourism, sales, printing, military, and shipping and logistics. In addition, County offices and local agencies will have information available about health screenings, job readiness skills, foreclosure and homelessness prevention, and much more. Admission to S.E.E Essex County Service-Employment-Expo is free and open to the public. Preregistration is available on-line at www.essexcountynj.org or in person at the Essex County One-Stop Career Center located at 50 S. Clinton Street – 2nd Floor in East Orange.
