WHAT: North Ward Holiday Dinner Ramos and City Council Colleagues to Sponsor 2nd Annual North Ward Holiday Dinner for Local Families NEWARK - While it is readily acknowledged by many that it takes a village to raise a child, it is also incumbent upon communities to realize that the same village may need to give an entire family a hand from time to time. It is that philosophy with which North Ward Council Member Anibal Ramos, and his at-large colleagues on the municipal council, President Mildred Crump, Carlos Gonzalez and Donald Payne, are sponsoring Ramos Second Annual Christmas Dinner at Immaculate Conception Church in Newark. The event will be done in collaboration with the Newark Public School Leadership Team IV. Each school in SLT IV, which includes all North Ward Schools and some schools in the Central Ward was asked to identify families in need that may participate in the festivities. There will be dinner and music and gifts to all of the children, which, as an added bonus, will be given out by a certain red-clad special guest from the North Pole. Dinner will be served from 6pm to 8pm at the Immaculate Conception Parish at 372 Woodside Avenue in Newark. |
